About Think Smart Europe
A Dutch company with European delivery
Think Smart Europe is a Dutch cyber security and IT company with its client team in Amsterdam and delivery centers in Bulgaria. We provide managed security services, security consulting and IT management to organisations across Europe, delivered entirely from within the EU. Senior security leadership works alongside our own engineering teams, backed by a 15-minute SOC response commitment and certification to ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO/IEC 20000-1 and ISO 9001.
The mission
We strengthen your cyber security
Mid-sized organisations often carry the same security risks and the same legal duties as larger enterprises, but do not always have a full in-house security team.
We therefore combine a fixed Dutch client team with an engineering organisation inside the European Union. That lets us deliver advice, implementation, day-to-day management and 24-hour monitoring from one organisation.
The accountability the law places with your board stays with your organisation. We carry out the agreed work and supply the information you need to discharge that accountability.

End-to-end ownershipWe can assess the existing situation, implement the missing measures and then manage the day-to-day operation. Responsibilities per component are agreed in advance.
Demonstrable, not only secureThe service produces records and reports on the measures and checks that have been carried out. That information can be used when a supervisor, auditor, insurer or customer asks for it.
How it is put together
Think Smart Europe is headquartered in Amsterdam and has delivery centers in Europe
Think Smart Europe B.V. is established at Vijzelstraat 68 in Amsterdam. The company was founded by Dutch founders together with Think Smart EOOD, a Bulgarian IT and security company registered in Sofia on 19 December 2019.
You enter into an agreement with Think Smart Europe B.V. under Dutch law. The named CISO, the account responsibility and the conversations with your board are handled from Amsterdam.
Engineering, the service desk and 24-hour monitoring are carried out by our teams in Sofia, Varna and Stara Zagora. These locations are inside the European Union and work under the management systems of the Bulgarian organisation named here.
This arrangement makes it possible to combine a fixed Dutch point of contact with an engineering team that is also available outside office hours.

How an engagement starts
From first meeting to working together
This is how an engagement starts, from the first assessment to ongoing management and reporting.
Design
You receive a target design and an implementation plan with priorities, costs and decision points.
Test in your own environment
Where it is useful, we test the proposed solution on a limited part of your own environment. Technical dependencies and exceptions become visible before you make a final choice.
Proposal
The proposal sets out the scope, the service levels, the planning, the responsibilities and the price. With a 36-month agreement, the agreed audit fee is deducted from the contract value.
Implementation
Our engineers carry out the agreed changes and connect the solution to the existing environment.
Management and reporting
After implementation we can provide monitoring, service desk, technical management and periodic reporting. That keeps the evidence based on what is actually running.
Assurance
We help take your cyber security to a higher level
The service is delivered within four certified management systems: ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 20000-1. The certificates are held by our parent organisation in Bulgaria.
Think Smart Europe B.V. is not separately certified at this time. On request we provide, per certificate, the certificate numbers, the standard versions, the certified legal entity, the scope, the period of validity and the certifying body. They are not published here because a published certificate detail is out of date the moment it changes.

Our head office is in Amsterdam and our delivery comes from the Netherlands or from our centers in Bulgaria
The client team works from Amsterdam. Engineering, the service desk and the monitoring are carried out from Sofia, Varna and Stara Zagora. All locations are inside the European Union, under one set of management systems and with one point of contact.
